Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Bulgaria Q3 2021

In the third quarter of 2021, Bulgaria's top 5 navigation and maps applications on a unified platform exhibited diverse performance patterns in terms of weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a peak in weekly downloads in early August, reaching approximately 15K. However, downloads gradually declined to around 6.9K by the end of September. Active users for Waze remained strong, peaking at about 269K in mid-August before settling at 244K by the end of the quarter.

Google Maps Go experienced a consistent decline in weekly downloads, starting at 5.2K at the end of June and dropping to 2.5K by late September. Despite this, the app maintained a steady number of active users, averaging around 310K throughout the quarter.

GPS+ Maps, Navigation, Traffic had a notable surge in weekly downloads in July, peaking at nearly 6.4K. This was followed by a decline, with downloads dropping to about 2K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at around 6.7K in July and decreasing to approximately 2.8K by the end of the quarter.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation showed a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.3K in early August and declining to 1.7K by the end of September. Active users also saw a similar trend, peaking at 7.6K in early August and dropping to around 4.3K by late September.

Lastly, Google Earth maintained relatively stable weekly download numbers, averaging around 1.7K in July and gradually decreasing to 1.5K by the end of September. The app's active user base remained steady, averaging around 11.5K throughout the quarter.
